Bonjour et Bienvenue!

My name is Magalie, I'm a PhD student in Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the University of Florida. I come from Valleyfield, a small town south of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. That's also where my funny accent comes from... And it keeps following me everywhere, go figure!
I've been here at UF since 2004, when I started my master. Then I just switched to the PhD program without really asking myself many questions. Student life is great, why go work?
Other than school, cause there's not just that in my life, I'm a passionate sailor, rock climber part time. I just like the outdoors I guess. I used to treck a lot, but here in Florida, it's a little too flat... I miss the mountains.
Right now I'm learning all these cool web skills as part of a graduate summer class. And I have to say, this is the only grad class I have ever taken that can really apply to the real world! Isn't it great! Thanks Lauren :-)
